We are seeking a Grounds Landscape Maintenance Technician to work at the Catholic University.   The Facilities Maintenance and Operations Department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all university owned or leased buildings and any other facility assigned to the Facilities Maintenance Department as well as all grounds and vehicle/equipment assigned to the Facilities Maintenance Department. This position is classified as an essential position. Performs landscaping activities such as planning and layout of projects, grass cutting, leave removal, planting and cultivating shrubs, trees, turf and flowers, and pesticide applications. Operates landscaping equipment. The incumbent participates in emergencies such as, but not limited to, snow removal, storm prep and damage operations, etc. as requested. The incumbent will report to the Grounds Manager or Team Leader and assist in maintaining the campus plant life, turf, roads, parking areas, walks, exterior drains and equipment. Required to participate in emergency call backs when assigned.    The University offers an excellent benefits package! Grounds Maintenance
University Advancement manages the development and alumni relations divisions; building philanthropic support and engagement opportunities among University alumni, friends, parents of students and other constituents. The office is primarily responsible for generating and increasing levels of private support for the University and its programs from all donor sources. The Conway School of Nursing and the National Catholic School of Social Service are important partners in this work. Advancements efforts to support these schools will contribute to enhancing the academic environment, increasing student success, and improving faculty excellence in both schools.   The Director of Advancement for the Conway School of Nursing and the National Catholic School of Social Service will serve as the lead advancement officer for the Schools, responsible for all activities related to identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual, major and planned gifts from alumni, friends, and institutions. The position collaborates closely with the central University Advancement team, which provides resources and strategic counsel, and uniform metrics to help drive results within the schools and across the University. The Director also manages the collaborative effort in building alumni engagement and communicating the School’s mission, vision, and achievements to key donor, alumni, and additional external constituencies. The position reports dually to the Associate Vice President for University Advancement and to the Deans of the Conway School, and of NCSSS. The Director will provide support to the Dean of the School and faculty on advancement matters, will work with central advancement to determine the philanthropic strategy annually, and will help to organize and communicate the School’s philanthropic priorities in order to maximize internal and external support.

The Vitreous State Laboratory (VSL) is a leading research and technology development center dedicated to solving environmental problems. VSL's interdisciplinary approach combines elements of physics, chemistry, and engineering to provide expertise for various research efforts related to material properties. The laboratory specializes in materials research, particularly in the field of glass and ceramic materials.   Under the direction of the VSL Laboratories Manager, the Assistant Analytical Laboratory Manager shall conduct instrumental analysis of liquid samples using techniques such as ICP-AES, ICP-MS, IC-CD, HPLC-DAD and HPLC-ICP-MS. The analytical laboratory is equipped with all necessary, state-of-the-art instrumentation. Routine analyses shall be performed according to established procedures per laboratory specifications and under stringent QA requirements. New analytical procedures development is expected when necessary. The ability to perform duties and responsibilities with limited supervision, responsibility maintaining frequent contact with a broad array of VSL personnel, working independently and as part of a team to ensure project timetables are met are all essential requirements.

Will be responsible for executing the buddy program for exchange students. Will facilitate workshops on a variety of topic pertaining to international students to various constituents at the University. Hours may need to flex earlier or later than typical 9am to 5pm as programming requires, occasional evening, weekend and possible holiday work will be necessary.
